Vanmoof bikes are made in the Netherlands, China, and Taiwan. The company has factories in both China and Taiwan, and all of its bikes are assembled in the Netherlands. Vanmoof sources most of its components from suppliers in China and Taiwan, but it also uses some parts from suppliers in Europe and the United States.
In total, Vanmoof states today, more than 120,000 bikes have been sold since the company was founded.

THROTTLE: Our optional throttle allows you to engage the motor without pedaling. Vanmoof bikes require you to be continuously pedaling to utilize the motor.

All e-bikes have a hard time in sub-5C / 41F weather. With this in mind, we encourage our riders to store their bikes at room temperature inside during the colder winter months. We understand that may not be a possibility for everyone, but do take extra care of your bike to keep it running smoothly.

The ride. Riding the S3 feels like riding a regular bicycle, but several times easier. It's a pedal-assist bike, meaning that you activate the motor by pedaling. There is a boost button, but you can't just push it to move the bike from a stopped position; you have to pedal.
How long does a battery last on an electric bike? Generally speaking, a high-quality eBike battery can last anywhere from 2 – 5 years.
The VanMoof Electrified S2 & X2 bikes have a range of 60km (full power mode) – 150km (economy mode). Of course, you can always ride the old fashioned way (motor off) if you run out of battery power.

You need to use the VanMoof App to initially set up your backup unlock code. After this, you can ride without your phone, using the code to unlock the Kick Lock. We do recommend connecting your phone whenever possible to get the most out of all the integrated technology.
